Prevention in Children – Swiss Standard

The Swiss standard of prevention has been implemented at “Dens” clinic, allowing us to significantly reduce the development of caries and periodontal diseases in children. Children and adolescents aged 6 months to 16 years are eligible to join the program.

The prevention program includes:

• Initial oral examination and sanitization (restoration of oral health)
• Preventive procedures, including professional cleaning and the application of special fluoride
• Individual planning of preventive follow-up visits
• A guarantee that caries will not develop, and in case of necessity – free treatment of caries

By using this system in Switzerland, the prevalence of caries in children has been reduced to just 4%. “Dens” clinic provides Georgian patients with the opportunity to maintain healthy teeth for a lifetime.

To join the prevention program, a consultation visit with a pediatric dentist is required.
