Alveolitis (dry socket) is a possible complication arising from tooth extraction. Its main symptom is lack of tissue healing in the extraction spot, accompanied by severe pain. Treatment is carried out under local anesthesia and consists of renewal of wound edges, formation of a blood clot and suturing to ensure full closure of the wound.
