Correction with Bite Splints – Aligner

Bite splint is a transparent, thin, removable appliance invisible to onlookers. Different amounts of bite splints are required for correction of different abnormalities. Bite splints allow for correction of mild tooth position anomalies. Visits are required once per 2-3 weeks, in case of need the physician replaces the bite splint and performs the following step.

Treatment duration: on average 6 months – 2 years.

Correction with Plate

Removable plate appliance consists of plastic base and arch. Plate base is glossy, non-allergenic, thin and easily tolerable. The patients are able to remove and put on braces themselves. Visits are required once per 2 weeks. The plate might expand the jaws in one, two or three planes. Upon examination of the patient’s occlusion, physician individually selects the plate to be produced. Erkodent – the plate used with extreme caution for allergic patients.

Retainer

Retainer is an appliance designed for retention of treatment results. There are removable (Bite splint Retainer, Plate Retainer, Elastocorrector) or non-removable (Internal Retainer) ones. The appliance is selected by the physician based on the indications.

Fixation time for non-removable retainer: 30 min.
Production of removable retainer: 1.5 hours.

Sports bite splint

This is a thick, bendable bite splint which could be placed on the Brace System as well as on the brace-free teeth. It is designed for protection of teeth from additional trauma. Recommended for use by the children and teenagers during sports activities. It is placed on one jaw. Might be transparent, different colors or decorated with drawings.
