Newly erupted teeth surfaces, that have a number of pits and fissures, cannot be fully brushed as the toothbrush simply cannot reach every point is why caries develops easily. For the protection of the teeth we use special fillings (liquid filling), which protects teeth from tooth decay for years.
This method is named Dental sealing or Fissure sealing and is preferable that every premolar and molar teeth go through this procedure after their eruption.
Recommended age:
- 6 years – Sealing the 6th tooth
- 11-12 years – Sealing the 4th and 5th tooth
- 14 years – Sealing the 7th tooth
