Removable orthodontic appliances are used to correct dental alignment anomalies, maintain treatment results, or protect the teeth. This group includes:

Alignment with Clear Aligners

An aligner is a removable, transparent, and thin appliance that is almost invisible to the naked eye. During the treatment process, a series of trays are used, each designed to correct specific stages of dental anomalies.

Goal: Correction of mild dental alignment anomalies

Visit interval: Once every 2–3 weeks; if necessary, the doctor replaces the tray and moves to the next stage of treatment

Treatment duration: On average, from 6 months to 2 years Aligners are ideal for patients who need to maintain daily aesthetic comfort, as the tray is practically unnoticeable.

Alignment with Orthodontic Plates

A plate appliance consists of a plastic base and an arch wire, which is comfortable to use and easily adapts to the oral cavity.

Base properties: Glossy, thin, non-allergenic

Goal: Expansion of the jaw in one, two, or three planes; regulation of correct dental alignment

Visit interval: Once every 2 weeks; the doctor individually selects the required type of plate

Treatment duration: Individual, 1–4 years

Manufacturing time: Approximately 1.5 hours

Erkodent – A special plate used for allergic patients and in exceptionally sensitive cases.

Retainer

A retainer is an appliance that, upon completion of treatment, secures the achieved result and prevents teeth from shifting.

Removable types: Aligner-retainer, Plate-retainer, Elastocorrector

Fixed type: Lingual retainer (Bonded retainer)

Fixation time for fixed retainer: 30 minutes

Manufacturing time for removable retainer: 1.5 hours

Sports Guard (Mouthguard)

A sports guard is a thick, flexible appliance that protects teeth from trauma during sports activities.

Compatibility: Can be fixed over both braces and natural teeth.

Target group: Children and teenagers involved in sports activities.

Design: Transparent or various colors, including patterns.

Manufacturing time: 1.5 hours
