The chewing surfaces of newly erupted permanent teeth contain many deep grooves (fissures) that often cannot be fully cleaned with a regular toothbrush. These conditions create a favorable environment for the development of caries.
At “Dens” clinic, we protect teeth using a special sealant (liquid filling) that provides long-term protection against caries. This procedure is called fissure sealing and is recommended for all chewing teeth.
Recommended ages for sealing:
- 6 years – Sealing of the 1st permanent molars (6th teeth)
- 11–12 years – Sealing of the 1st and 2nd premolars (4th and 5th teeth)
- 14 years – Sealing of the 2nd permanent molars (7th teeth)
“Dens” ensures that children have healthy teeth from childhood through adolescence, helping to prevent the spread of caries.
